Dr. S H Mukwakwami

Dr Mukwakwami, born in Zimbabwe, belongs to the Musikavanhu clan, a family that has held the respected chieftainship of Chief Musikavanhu for generations and continues to do so to this day.

Dr Mukwakwami became the 1st in Zimbabwe after Independence to rise up and started mobilizing small businesses to legally denounce the demolition of small business structures of unregistered viable businesses which were the main source of livelihood and income for thousands of informal traders. When faced with helping the poor as he was operating his own small grocery shop

Dr Mukwakwami became the Founder President of Zimbabwe Tuckshop Owners Association in the 1990s which spread throught all major Cities eg Mutare City, Harare, Bulawayo, Chinhoyi, Kariba, Masvingo,Hwange, Chegutu, Kwekwe etc.

Dr Mukwakwami made a break through In 1999 when he united all thousands of members by getting them registered and managed to get members get leases and title deeds after working with Local authorities in agreeing trading places after agreeing health and safety conditions and small businesses doing their Carpentry and joinery work making beds and wardrobes on designated places etc.

Dr Mukwakwami  is the visionary  Founder/Trustee behind the Zimbabwe Construction Professionals Charity Trust, established on February 20th, 2021. His dedication to the Zimbabwean construction sector and its professionals is evident in the Trust’s mission to foster local and international infrastructural development, support socio-economic growth, and create investment opportunities within Zimbabwe and potentially the wider SADC region.

Dr. Mukwakwami’s commitment extends to empowering future generations within the industry. Through the Trust, he champions educational funding for vulnerable and financially challenged Zimbabwean students pursuing construction-related degrees in fields ranging from Civil Engineering and Architecture to Real Estate and Telecommunications. This initiative reflects his belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of nurturing local talent.

Beyond his philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Mukwakwami is an accomplished author with a strong academic grounding in business and law. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with a Major in Project Management from an Italian University, complemented by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Small and Medium Businesses from a UK University. His expertise is further enriched by a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Business Law which he has a Post Graduate Diploma in the same field, both earned in the UK.

Dr. Mukwakwami’s writing is informed by this robust academic background and a diverse range of practical skills acquired in the UK, including qualifications in business English and various construction trades. This multifaceted perspective allows him to offer readers insightful analysis rooted in both rigorous research and real-world application. As the lifetime patron and overseer of the Zimbabwe Construction Professionals Charity Trust, Dr. Mukwakwami’s work as an author is likely intertwined with his passion for the construction industry and his commitment to its growth and the development of its future dissemination of knowledge through his books.

In the UK Dr Mukwakwami has succeeded in completing several qualifications within a 21 year work and study duration.

Dr Mukwakwami has acknowledged he intends to use all the topics studied to turn them into books. He also intends to turn his study of Boundary Management when he went with the Birmingham University to study Spanish Companies as comparison with British Companies.

Dr Mukwakwami went further to study Advanced Business English Diploma which he holds the qualification and a Mentoring Certificate both in the Uk.

Dr Mukwakwami is proposing releasing 5 books this year and 4 books in 2026 as most of his studies within the last 20 years he was keeping all the study materials and all dissertations together to use and add for new books.

Dr Mukwakwami is the Research and Project Director with a UK Building Company. His work is to manage and advising on Small, Medium and Mega projects.
